Thermodynamic Gravity And The Emergence of Space With Geometry
نویسندگان
چکیده
Thermodynamic aspects of black holes and Rindler horizons are reviewed along with quantum field theory in the corresponding curved spacetimes. The implication that gravity might be thermodynamic in origin is considered. Macroscopic space is seen to emerge at a course-grained limit via the application of holography in the context of horizons. Both Newtonian and Einsteinian gravity are seen (seperately) to be implied by an entropy maximisation principle and the suggestion that gravity is not fundamental is discussed and criticised. The fact that the thermodynamic perspective applies to Lanczos-Lovelock models, a more general (arbitrary dimensions) class of theories than Einstein’s D = 4 gravity, is also explained. Unification of Quantum and Gravity by Non Classical Information Entropy Space
A quantum entropy space is suggested as the fundamental arena describing the quantum effects. In the quantum regime the entropy is expressed as the superposition of many different Boltzmann entropies that span the space of the entropies before any measure. When a measure is performed the quantum entropy collapses to one component. A suggestive reading of the relational interpretation of quantum...
متن کامل3D gravity data-space inversion with sparseness and bound constraints
One of the most remarkable basis of the gravity data inversion is the recognition of sharp boundaries between an ore body and its host rocks during the interpretation step. Therefore, in this work, it is attempted to develop an inversion approach to determine a 3D density distribution that produces a given gravity anomaly. The subsurface model consists of a 3D rectangular prisms of known sizes ...
متن کاملThe emergence of background geometry from quantum fluctuations
We show how the quantization of two-dimensional gravity leads to an (Euclidean) quantum space-time where the average geometry is that of constant negative curvature and where the Hartle-Hawking boundary condition arises naturally.
متن کاملDispersion of Torsional Surface Wave in a Pre-Stressed Heterogeneous Layer Sandwiched Between Anisotropic Porous Half-Spaces Under Gravity
The study of surface waves in a layered media has their viable application in geophysical prospecting. This paper presents an analytical study on the dispersion of torsional surface wave in a pre-stressed heterogeneous layer sandwiched between a pre-stressed anisotropic porous semi-infinite medium and gravitating anisotropic porous half-space. The non-homogeneity within the intermediate layer a...
متن کاملModelling of Love Waves in Fluid Saturated Porous Viscoelastic Medium resting over an Exponentially Graded Inhomogeneous Half-space Influenced by Gravity
The present article is devoted to a theoretical study on Love wave vibration in a pre-stressed fluid-saturated anisotropic porous viscoelastic medium embedded over an inhomogeneous isotropic half-space influenced by gravity. The expression of dispersion has been achieved with the help of mathematical tools such as variable separable method and Whittaker’s function’s expansion under certain boun...
